This petition has been filed seeking following reliefs:-
"i). Issue writ, order, or direction in nature of mandamus directing the respondents to mention the petitioner's designation 'Assistant Librarian' in each renewal orders issued 2014 onwards.
ii). Issue writ, order, or direction in nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the arrears of petitioner's salary due since 02.04.2018 with interest till the date of actual payment."
Learned counsel at the very outset submits that the prayer clause (ii) relating to release of arrears of salary has become meaningless in view of the fact that arrears have already been paid to the petitioner. So far as the first prayer is concerned, it is stated that a four member committee has been constituted to look into the grievance of the petitioner. It is also submitted that though the committee has submitted its report in favour of petitioner, but the University is yet to take a decision in the matter.
Sri Avinish Tripathi, learned counsel appearing for the University submits that the claim of petitioner in that regard shall be considered by the authority concerned, in accordance with law.
In the facts and circumstances, this writ petition stands disposed of permitting the petitioner to represent his grievance before respondent no.2, noticed above, alongwith certified copy of this order, within a period of two weeks from today. Petitioner shall be at liberty to annex all materials in support of her claim. The concerned respondent shall have the matter inquired into and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of three months, thereafter.
