The petitioner claims to be working as Tractor Driver on contract basis with the Nagar Palika Parishad, Milak, distt. Rampur It is his case that at present, there is no sanctioned post of Tractor Driver at Nagar Palika Parishad, Milak. However, a proposal has been moved by the Director, Local Bodies dated 12.10.2017 by which a specific proposal has been made to the State Government to sanction a post of Tractor Driver at Nagar Palika Parishad, Milak. A copy of the proposal is annexed as Annexure No. 11 to the writ petition. The petitioner further states, in view of the fact that there is a regular work of Tractor Driver and that post has yet not been sanctioned, the Chairman and also the Executive Officer, Nagar Palika Parishad, Milak has also written to the State Government to sanction that post and/or in the alternative, regularize the petitioner's service on the post of Tractor Driver.
The aforesaid proposals made by the Director, Local Bodies as also Executive Officer,Nagar Palika Parishad, Milak and Chairman, Nagar Palika Parishad, Milak, are stated to be pending with the State Government.
Since the representations have remained pending since long time, the writ petition is disposed of directing to Director, Local Bodies (respondent no. 2) to decide the aforesaid representations expeditiously, within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order before the said authority and also to take consequential action in pursuance thereto.
