Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.G.A. for the State.
By means of the present application under Section 483 Cr.P.C., the applicant has sought for a suitable direction to the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jhansi to consider and decide the Case No. 4349 of 2003 (State Vs. Ranveer Singh) arising out of Case Crime No. 546 of 2003, under Section 409 I.P.C. and Section 29 Police Station, Police Station Navabad, District Jhansi, within time stipulated by this Court.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the applicant that applicant is an accused in the aforesaid case and the case is pending since 2003. Learned counsel further submits that a direction may be issued to the concerned Court to decide the same within specific time.
Considering the fact that the trial is pending since 2003 and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this application is finally disposed of with a direction to the court below to decide the aforesaid case in accordance with law, without granting any unnecessary or long adjournments to either of the parties as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of a computerised generated/certified copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment.
