This petition is required to be disposed of, as learned advocate for the petitioner has submitted that the appeal preferred under Section 18 of the Arms Act 1959, in the year 2009 has yet not been disposed of. No decision on the appeal for these many years in itself is amounting to violating petitioner's right. Hence the petition is disposed of with the following direction.
The Respondent shall decide the appeal and communicate the order to the petitioner on / or before 22/3/2012 on the appeal. Liberty to the petitioner to file petition afresh in case the order is adverse. Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Direct service permitted.
