Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in BCDFGISSSV No.197 of 2017 dated 20.04.2017 against my son Siva S/o.Ramakrishnan, aged 22 years and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the detenu who is detained under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and confined in Central Prison, Puzhal before this Court and set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.S.Senthilvel For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in BCDFGISSSV No.197 of 2017 dated 20.04.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu by name, Siva, aged 22 years, S/o.Ramakrishnan, residing at No.4E, Pachiamman Kovil, Periyanatham, Chengalpattu District and quash the same.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has represented that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked by way of passing G.O.Rt.No.2797 dated 14.06.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been already revoked.
3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
