By order dated 19.11.2018, this Court has granted time to Sri Mahboob Ahmad, learned counsel for the Electricity Department to seek instruction in the matter.
This writ petition, inter alia, has been filed for the following reliefs;
(i) Issue a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents for not realization of electricity Bill of domestic purposes of Rs. 5431.38 having its Meter No. M4444242G6650330000000005 KNO: 30523652 ACCOUNT ID:0754306000 in her name of petitioner.
(ii) Issue a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents connect the electricity in the house of the petitioner and restore the earlier connection of having its Meter No. M4444242G6650330000000005 KNO: 30523652 ACCOUNT ID: 0754306000 in her name of petitioner awarded by respondents.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Mahboob Ahmad, learned counsel for the Electricity Department and perused the record.
After arguing the matter for quite sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his prayer to the extent that the due amount may be recovered by fixing some easy instalments.
Sri Mahboob Ahmad, learned counsel for the Electricity Department assured the Court that easy instalment shall be fixed by the department in the present matter.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Executive Engineer is directed to fix easy instalments for recovering the electricity dues from the petitioner.
With this observation, the writ petition stands finally dismissed.
