Heard learned counsel for the revisionist as well as learned A.G.A for the State and perused the record.
By means of the instant criminal revision, the revisionist- Ramjeet Singh has challenged the order passed by the Additional Sessions Judge/Family Court/F.T.C.-2, Firozabad who in exercise of power under Section 127 Cr.P.C. in Case Crime No. 1547 of 2016 has enhanced the amount of maintenance to Virma Devi from Rs.200/- to Rs.1,500/-.
The submission of learned counsel for the revisionist is that wayback in February, 1986, Virma Devi and her daughter were awarded Rs.100/- and Rs.50/- respectively as amount of maintenance. During this period, daughter of opposite party no. 2 got married and she is happily residing with her husband and by the impugned order, the amount of maintenance was enhanced from Rs.200/- to Rs.1,500/- in the year 2018.
Keeping in view the cost of living in 2018, this enhanced amount cannot be said to be excessive or exorbitant one. Therefore, I am not inclined to interfere in the impugned order dated 10.05.2018.
Accordingly, the present revision is devoid of merit and is, accordingly, rejected.
