The petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to repatriate him in Civil Police from the Police Emergency Management System Dial 100 Scheme as per the guidelines dated 2.5.2016. It is vehemently submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the respondents are bound to follow the guidelines issued by them for posting of police personnel in Dial 100 Scheme. Such guidelines require that the police personnel can be posted under the said scheme for a fixed period and further he or she should be between 40-56 years of age.
On a pointed query made by the Court as to when the petitioner was posted in Dial 100 Scheme, no answer could be given by learned counsel for the petitioner. The petitioner is approximately 47 years of age and as such he is covered by the circular framed for posting of the police personnel in Dial 100 Scheme.
This Court in exercise of power of judicial review, therefore, does not deem it a fit case for interference. No prejudice caused to the petitioner could be shown by learned counsel for the petitioner.
Dismissed as such.
