Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
By means of this writ petition under Article 227 of the Constitution, the petitioner has prayed for following relief:-
"(A) To allow the petition and issue a direction to the Civil Judge (Junior Division), Court No. 10 Deoria to decide and conclude the proceedings of the Original Suit No. 823 of 2018, Ramesh v. Veer Bahadur & others, pending in the court of Civil Judge (Junior Division), Court NO. 10 Deoria within specific period as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
The suit is of the year, 2018. The evidence of the parties has not yet been completed. This is widely known fact that Covid is prevailing in the country and the state for the last one year and the judicial work of the courts below are also affected.
In such circumstances, no direction can be issued fixing time bound period for disposal of the suit, however, it is expected that the court will not grant unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties and shall endeavour to conclude the said proceeding as expeditiously as possible.
