JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324 of IPC and Section 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of the SC/ST (POA) Amendment Ordinance Act, 214 in Crime No.317 of 2014 on the file of the respondent Police, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the learned 1st Additional Sessions Judge (PCR), Thanjavur to consider his bail application on the same day on merits.
2. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondent.
3. Heard both sides.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned 1st Additional Sessions Judge (PCR), Thanjavur, is directed to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his bail application on the very same day purely on the basis of merits and to pass suitable orders, in the event of the petitioner surrendering before the said court within 15 days from today and filing of petition seeking bail.
5. This petition is ordered accordingly.
