The grievance of the petitioners is that they have submitted a revised map for sanction before the third respondent but no order has been passed as yet. The relief of the petitioner amongst other reads as under:
"A. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature mandamus commanding the respondent no. 3 to consider and sanction the map of the petitioners in question."
We have heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel.
Without entering into merits of the case we are of the view that respondent no. 3 may consider application of the petitioners expeditiously, preferably within three months from the date of communication of this order.
Needless to say that this Court has not expressed its opinion on the merits of the case, the authority concerned shall pass the order independently and in accordance with law.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. No order as to costs.
