Heard learned counsel for the petitioners; the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents; and perused the record.
The grievance of the petitioners is that for road widening certain constructions of the petitioners have been earmarked without properly surveying the width of the road and without ascertaining whether the portion earmarked is already vested in the State or has been acquired by the State.
Considering the nature of the prayer made in this petition, we deem it appropriate to dispose off this petition by giving liberty to the petitioners to represent their cause before the District Magistrate, Allahabad (Prayagraj). If any such representation is filed, the second respondent shall call for the reports from the concerned authority and take appropriate decision thereon by a reasoned order, preferably, within next four weeks.
