1. Heard Sri Ashok Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for respondents No.1, 2 and 10.
2. This writ petiton has been filed seeking a direction upon respondent No.2 to conclude the proceedings under Section 12- C of U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 as the petitioner has lost the elction of Gram Pradhan and has filed election petition on 8.6.2021.
3. From perusal of order sheet it appears that after registration of the election petition, summons were issued, which were served upon opposite parties and the opposite parties had appeared on 19.07.2021. Thereafter the matter was fixed for 09.08.2021 but on the said date the Presiding Officer was not present and the matter was posted for 06.09.2021.
4. Today, when the matter was taken up, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not aware as to what happened on 06.09.2021.
5. As the petition was filed in the month of June, 2021, no direction can be issued for early decision of the election petition at this stage.
6. Writ petition is dismissed.
