Heard Sri G.D. Mishra, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri A.K. Srivastava, learned counsel appearing for the respondents as well as learned Standing Counsel for the State.
By means of this petition the petitioner has come to this Court raising a grievance that Nagar Palika Parishad, Deoria, started construction of drain infront of the house of the petitioner in 2015 and till date the said construction work of the drain is lying incomplete, causing grave danger to the life of the residents of the area.
It is further apprehended that during the monsoon season flooding will happen and the said open half constructed drain will become extremely dangerous for the residents. It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that various representation has been made to the Nagar Palika Parishad but no steps have been taken.
The Nagar Palika Parishad, Deoria, its Executive Officer, is directed that the said half constructed drain be completed without unnecessary delay so that the residents of the area can feel protected.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is finally disposed of.
