JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, praying to call for the records relating to the Private Complaint in S.T.C.No.246 of 2016 on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Karaikudi and quash the same.
2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner restricts his prayer and requests this Court to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate to dispose of the S.T.C. No.246 of 2016 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
3.Since the prayer has been restricted for expeditious disposal, this Court is of the view that the notice to the respondent is not necessary.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case was taken on file as against the petitioner by the learned Judicial Magistrate in S.T.C.No.246 of 2016 on 28.03.2016, but there is no progress in the case and therefore, the learned Judicial Magistrate may be directed to dispose of the case expeditiously.
5.Considering the date of filing of the case and also nature of the case, this Court issues the following directions:
The learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Karaikudi is directed to dispose of S.T.C.No.246 of 2016 on its file within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
