Against the order passed by the respondent- authority refusing to give information under the Right to Information Act, the petitioner has a statutory alternative remedy of filing an appeal before the Appellate Tribunal under Section 19(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
In view of the existence of the statutory alternative remedy available to the petitioner, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition and the same is, accordingly, dismissed on the ground of existence of the statutory alternative remedy.
