Following orders were passed in the matter on 29.5.2019:-
"Grievance is that though an amount of Rs. 1,98,137/- towards income tax was deducted from the petitioner's salary for being deposited in his Income Tax Account, but the same has not been deposited so far, inasmuch as, such payment is not reflected from the Form 26AS.
Sri Kapil Dev Singh Rathore, appearing for the respondents, may obtain instructions. Post as fresh on 31.5.2019."
Learned counsel for the respondents has placed before the Court a document to show that a sum of Rs.1,98,137/- has already been deposited in the concerned account. It is stated that on account of some error in the petitioner's pan card it is not getting reflected in form 26AS. Learned counsel for the respondents has provided copy of the aforesaid document to the counsel for the petitioner.
Perusal of the aforesaid document would go to show that a sum of Rs.1,98,137/- has been deposited vide bill no.580 of 03/2015 toward income tax.
In that view of the matter, petitioner cannot have any grievance that requisite amount has not been deposited toward income tax. Leaving it open for the petitioner to get his pan card corrected, or to approach the authorities of the Income Tax Department for necessary action, this petition is consigned to records.
