Heard learned counsel for the applicant and Sri Rajiv Trivedi, the learned Standing Counsel.
Sri Trivedi has placed on the record instructions received from the concerned Assistant Collector. As noted therein as many as 14 proceedings were initiated for removal of encroachments on public utility land. Of these in proceedings Nos. 1 to 11, final orders of eviction have been passed. Sri Trivedi states that these orders shall be executed in accordance with law and with expedition. Sri Trivedi also draws the attention of the Court to the pendency of three other matters in which the original noticees have since died. He states that notices shall consequently be served on the heirs of the deceased landholders and these pending proceedings shall be concluded in accordance with law expeditiously and in any view of the matter within a period of four months from today.
In light of the statement so made nothing further survives on this petition, which shall stand disposed of.
