1. Called in revise. None appeared to press this writ petition. Learned Standing Counsel is present for respondent(s). In the circumstances, I myself have perused the record.
2. By means of present writ petition, petitioners have sought following reliefs:
"(i) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of writ of certiorari quashing condition mentioned at Sl. No.3, 2 and 1 in the advertisement dated 20.8.2003 (Annexure-5 to the writ petition) issued by the respondent no.2 inviting applications for appointment on the post of Instructor in various Government Industrial Training Institute of State of U. P. with a further direction to the respondents especially the respondent no.2 to not to reject the application forms of the petitioners in reference to the aforesaid advertisement on the ground that the petitioners do not possess the aforesaid qualifications.
(i-a) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of a writ of mandamus declaring provisions of Rule 8 (2) of the amended Rules (Annexure I to affidavit) (Annexure 6 in writ petition) as null and void and ultra vires to the Constitution of India."
3. I myself have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or the petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
