Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
This writ petition has been filed for quashing the order dated 4.4.2018 passed by the Settlement Officer Consolidation, Basti in Appeal No. 671 filed under Section 11 (1) of Uttar Pradesh Consolidation of Holdings Act, whereby the adjournment application filed by the petitioner was rejected and the stay was not extended.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the property in dispute is likely to be transferred by the contesting respondents during the pendency of the case and he is likely to be dispossessed.
The order impugned is interlocutory in nature and the writ petition against the same is not maintainable even the petitioner has remedy to challenge the said order before the Deputy Director of Consolidation by way of revision.
I do not find any legal illegality or infirmity in the order impugned herein.
Writ petition is devoid of merits and is, accordingly, dismissed.
