Undisputedly the claim of promotion to the post of Sub Inspector would not merit consideration since as per the petitioner's own showing he has been awarded censure entry in 2016.
Admittedly no appeal has been preferred against the said entry. It is also not disputed before this Court that for a period of five years from the date of imposition of the penalty the claim of promotion would not merit consideration.
Consequently this petition shall stand disposed of at this stage with liberty to the petitioner to re-agitate his claim for promotion as and when the period of five years expires or in case the censure entry is set aside on an appeal that may be preferred.
