The applicant has been identified as an assailant who inflicted serious head injuries on the injured. The doctor in his statement has opined that the injuries are grievous in nature which may result in death. The applicant has a criminal history and was convicted in a case registered as Case Crime No. 281 of 1995, under Sections 147, 148, 149, 307, 336, 504 and 302 I.P.C. The applicant has appealled his conviction by the trial court.
At this stage, no case for bail is made out. The bail application is rejected.
The trial court shall make all endeavours to ensure that the criminal case is decided within a period of one year.
The prosecution agencies as well as accused persons are directed to cooperate in the trial proceedings to ensure that the trial is concluded within the stipulated period of one year.
