A prayer for adjournment has been made on behalf of the petitioners.
This writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:-
"(I) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 1 to decide and pass order in Case No. 04747 of 2018 (Computer Case No. 201802030804747) Ram Pratap Singh and others Vs. Paranu Singh and others) within stipulated period at an early date as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court in the interest of justice."
The case sought to be expedited is of the year 2018 and is a declaratory suit under Section 144 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006.
From the perusal of the order sheet appended to the writ petition it is not clear even as to whether notices have been issued on the suit or not.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with the observations that the respondent no.1 Sub Divisional Officer, Tehsil Meja, District Allahabad may endeavour to decide the aforesaid suit expeditiously, preferably within a period of 18 months from the date of certified copy of this order is filed before him.
