Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned standing counsel for the respondents and perused the material brought on record.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the proposed election booth is at a place which is near the house of the sitting pradhan and, as such, is not appropriate as a place for polling, therefore, the petitioner has made a representation for change of the polling booth in the forthcoming election.
The prayer is that the respondent no.3 be directed to consider the request of the petitioner in the light of recommendation already made.
Be that as it may, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner, we deem it appropriate to require the District Election Officer to examine all the above aspects and take an appropriate decision in the matter, expeditiously, as per law.
The petition is disposed off.
