JUDGMENT / ORDER

Vide order dated 30.4.2012, this court had directed the Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, to depute an officer to enquire and submit a report.
Learned counsel for the State contends that the alleged detenues are not in illegal custody of respondent nos.2 to 5, rather, they are living in Punjab of their own free will. It has also been pointed out that the alleged detenue Rampal has given his statement to the officials to the effect that he never authorized Tribhuvan to file this petition.
Let a counter affidavit be filed.
