The allegation of the petitioners is that the respondents have acquired their land without initiating proceedings under Land Acquisition Act, 1894 or otherwise and further are not making payment of compensation.
It is brought to our notice that in a writ petition of similar nature State Government has constituted a Committee of seven officers to consider and decide the issues pertaining to such alleged illegal acquisition of land and determination of compensation thereto.
In view of it, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition directing the petitioners to approach the Committee constituted by the State Government as reflected in the Government Order order dated 12 May 2016 issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The petitioners, if submit any application in pursuance to the Government Order aforesaid, the Committee shall consider and decide the cause of the petitioners expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date the petitioners present a certified copy of this order.
