1. This petition seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents to decide claim/representation of the petitioner dated 28.5.2019 (Annexure-1).
2. It appears that the petitioner filed application with a prayer that he be allowed to set up a saw mill.
It has been pleaded that although application was made, no decision thereon has been taken.
3. Mr. Raj Baksh Singh, learned counsel for the State has very fairly stated that representation, Annexure-1 would be dealt with and a decision thereon would be taken within six weeks of receipt of certified copy of the order, by respondent No.2.
4. In view of the statement given by learned counsel for the State, as noticed above, we hereby dispose of this petition.
We, however, make it clear that we have not made any observation in regard to the right of the petitioner to set up a saw mill. The respondent authorities would be at liberty to consider the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law, rules and regulations. Only if the petitioner falls within the four-corners of the rules, his claim be entertained.
