Heard Sri Sanjay Kumar Dubey, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Chandan Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.
By means of this writ petition, the petitioner has raised a grievance that his application for renewal of driving licence bearing no. A-3541 MTR/1995 issued on 29.06.1995 is not being considered.
By an earlier order of this Court, Sri Chandan Kumar, learned Standing Counsel was required to obtain instructions. Upon instructions received, he submits that Rule has now been changed and now the petitioner has to apply for renewal of driving licence under the new rule, which the petitioner has not done so.
In view of the above, in case the petitioner applies for renewal of his driving licence in accordance with the procedure prescribed under the new rule, his claim may be considered and decided in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is disposed of. Order Date :- 29.11.2018 Lbm/-
