Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Petitioner retired on 31 December 2014 on attaining the age of superannuation from the post of Cartographic Assistant in the department of Economics and Statistics, State of U.P..
By the instant petition, petitioner seeks the following relief:
"a. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to provide the petitioner the default of his increments of payment of salary from 24.07.1990 till his retirement on 31.12.2014 within interest at 18% per annum which has caused huge financial loss to him."
Learned Standing Counsel submits that the first respondent shall pass appropriate order on the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law.
In view thereof, on consent, the petition is disposed of directing the first respondent, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Government of U.P., Lucknow, to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner, by a reasoned and speaking order, expeditiously, preferably, within four months from the date of filing of certified copy of this order along with the copy of the writ petition.
It is clarified that the Court has not considered the claim of the petitioner on merits.
