This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to challenge order dated 1.5.2015 passed by Commissioner, Chitrakootdham Division, Banda under Section 6 of the U.P. Control of Goondas Act (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') dismissing Appeal No. C 20140700001053 and affirming the order dated 11.12.2014 passed by District Magistrate Chitrakoot, under Section 3 of the Act ordering externment of the petitioner for a period of six months.
The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the order of externment for six months was passed on 11.12.2014 which has elapsed for more than six years back, thus this petition has become infructuous by efflux of time.
In view of the above, this writ petition has become infructuous and it is, accordingly, disposed of.
Interim order, granted earlier, stands discharged.
