When the case was called out in the revised list, no one appeared/connected on behalf of the petitioners through Video Conferencing. However, Sri Anurag Kumar Singh, Advocate on behalf of opposite party No.1-State Election Commission, U.P., Lucknow, Sri Shishir Chandra, caveator as also learned State counsel are present before this Court through Video Conferencing.
Sri Anurag Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the opposite party No.1-State Election Commission, U.P., Lucknow, submitted that present writ petition has been filed by the petitioners for including the names of the petitioners as well as some other villagers in the Voter List and for allotting the symbols to the petitioners for contesting the Panchayat Election for the post of Gram Pradhan of Village Devari, Block Behjam, Tehsil Mitauli, District Khiri, which was published for the purposes of conducting Panchayat Election of the State of U.P.. The Panchayat Election was held on 19.04.2021 and the result of which has also been declared on 02.05.2021, therefore, present writ petition has become infructuous.
In view of aforesaid as also keeping in view the averments made in the writ petition including the reliefs sought, it appears that present writ petition has now become infructuous. It is accordingly dismissed having become infructuous.
