Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel on behalf of respondents no. 1, 2 & 5, Shri Nagendra Nath Mishra, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no. 3 and Shri Omkar Dutt Malviya, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no. 4.
The petitioner retired from the post of Junior Engineer, Jal Sansthan in August 2006. His retiral dues have not been paid to him till date relating to Gratuity and other amount.
Counsel for the petitioner has pointed out page no. 25 of the paper-book which is a letter sent on 06.09.2016 by the office of the General Manager, Jal Sansthan, Chitrakoot Dham Mandal, Banda. It appears that by this letter, the General Manager has directed the Secretary, Jal Sansthan Jhansi Division, Jhansi to pay the retiral benefits amounting to Rs. 1,85,564/- to the petitioner. However, no payments have been made till date.
Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 3 (The General Manager, Jhansi Mandal Jal Sansthan, Jhansi) to look into the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
In case certain dues are found to be paid to the petitioner, the respondent no. 3 shall also ensure payments thereof, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.
