Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned standing counsel. By the instant petition, petitioner seeks the following relief:
"Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 2 to consider and decide the election petition No.03027 of 2021 (Ram Bahadur v. District Magistrate Bareilly and others) expeditiously within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
On perusal of the pleadings and material placed on record, this Court does not find any reason to expedite the aforesaid case. In view thereof, writ petition is dismissed.
However, it is provided that in the event of the petitioner making an application to expedite the aforesaid case pending before the competent court, it is expected that the competent court shall consider and decide the petitioners' application, in accordance with law.
