Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Petitioners, who are 8 in number, have filed the writ petition for the following relief:
"Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus the respondent no. 2 to pay the gratuity as well as post retiral benefits of the petitioners with 18% simple interest."
The contention of counsel for the petitioners is that although some of the amount dues to the petitioners have been paid, the entire amount to which the petitioners are entitled have not been cleared by the respondent authorities.
As the action is pending at the end of the respondent, the present writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioners to file individual representation before the respondent no. 2 within a period of three weeks from today. In the event such representation is filed the respondent no. 2 shall take a decision thereupon and pass a reasoned order and, if found entitled, shall pay their dues, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within period of three months from the date of filing of the copy of this order.
The writ petition stands disposed off in terms of the said direction.
Copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court shall be treated as certified copy of this order.
