It appears that in an earlier writ petition filed by the petitioner No. 18393 of 2018, this Court directed the respondents to examine petitioners' grievance in light of the Government Orders relied upon by them. According to the petitioners the relevant Government Orders also contemplate payment of interest upon delayed retiral benefits. It is submitted that though revised pension has been paid but for the delay caused in release of amount, interest has not been paid.
It is pointed out on behalf of the respondents that a contempt petition has already been filed and the matter is pending. In case petitioners have not been paid the amount in terms of the Government Orders and the matter is pending in contempt petition, the remedy of the petitioner would be to pursue such petition.
A fresh writ petition would not be warranted, at this stage. Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed, at this stage.
