Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
The petitioner is before this Court for a direction to second respondent to grant permission provided under Section 98 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 to the petitioner to sell his bhumidhari land to other than scheduled caste persons. It is contended that in this regard the petitioner has also made representation dated 8.5.2018 before the second respondent and the same may be directed to be decided expeditiously. It is also contended that there is grave urgency in the matter as the marriage of the daughter of the petitioner is scheduled to be solemnized on 12.6.2018 and as such this Court should come for rescue and reprieve of the petitioner.
Considering the facts and circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and with the consent, the writ petition stands disposed of asking the second respondent to look into the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate order on the aforesaid representation of the petitioner in accordance with law preferably within ten days from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
Let a copy of this order be given to learned counsel for the petitioner today on payment of usual charges.
