1. Heard Mr. Gulab Chandra, learned counsel for petitioners, learned Standing counsel representing respondents 1 & 2 and Mr. Azad Rai, learned counsel representing respondent-3.

This Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed for a writ of mandamus commanding respondent-2, Sub-Divisional Officer, Phulpur, Allahabad to decide Suit No. 356 of 2011-12 01889 of 2020 (Computerized No. T20110232358 (Ram Ashare Vs. Gama and others) under Sections 229B of U.P. ZA & L.R. Act, within a time bound period fixed by this Court.
4. On the query raised by Court, as to whether defendants in the Suit have appeared or not, learned counsel for petitioner submits that till date defendants have not appeared in the suit giving rise to present writ petition.
6. In view of above, no direction as prayed for can be issued at this state. Present writ petition lacks merit and is therefore, liable to be dismissed at this stage.
7. Accordingly, present writ petition is dismissed at this stage.
