Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:-
"(I) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 (Sub-Divisional Officer, Tehsil Martinganj, District Azamgarh) to conclude and decide the application dated 12.04.2017 bearing Suit No.T20171565708377 of 2017 (Ram Aasare Vs. Arvind & others) u/s 24 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code 2006 within a stipulated period as per satisfaction of this Hon'ble Court."
The petitioner is aggrieved because his application under Section 24 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 for demarcation is pending since 2013 and has not been disposed of finally.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2/Sub-Divisional Officer, Tehsil Martinganj, District Azamgarh to decide the application under Section 24 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
