Heard counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel.
By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 1- Board of Revenue, U.P. at Allahabad to consider and decide the stay vacation application dated 7.10.2014 filed in Revision No. 3 of 2013-14, Shanker and others Vs. State of U.P. and others, as well as the revision itself, within a stipulated period of time.
Contention of the learned counsel for petitioner is that the aforesaid revision is pending since the year 2013, but neither the stay vacation application has been decided nor the revision though a period of about five years has already elapsed.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is issued upon respondent no. 1- Board of Revenue, U.P. at Allahabad to decide the Revision No. 3 of 2013-14, Shanker and others Vs. State of U.P. and others, , in accordance with law expeditiously within six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
With the above direction, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to costs.
