|

JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 59
Case :- CONTEMPT APPLICATION (CIVIL) No. - 2317 of 2018 Applicant :- Smt. Raju Devi Opposite Party :- Jyoti Maurya, Sub Divisional Magistrate Counsel for Applicant :- Pramod Kumar Srivastava
Hon'ble Yashwant Varma,J.
Heard learned counsel for the applicant.
This petition alleges disobedience of directions issued by the Court for expeditious disposal of proceedings initiated under Section 229B of the U.P.Z.A. & L.R. Act, 1950. A perusal of the order sheet indicates that on umpteen occasions, the matter has been adjourned on account of the lawyers abstaining from work. The Court further notes that the applicant has moved an application for substitution as late as on 9 March 2018, which stood disposed of on the said date.
Consequently, this Court finds no ground to hold the opposite party in contempt.
The petition is dismissed at this stage.
It shall however be open to the applicant to approach this Court again in case the matter is inordinately delayed.
Order Date :- 30.4.2018 Arun K. Singh
