JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached the first respondent for renewal of Dealer’s Licence. This application was submitted on 17.1.2014. On account of delay in considering Ext.P2, the petitioner has approached this Court. For the purpose of processing Ext.P2 application, report from the District Police Chief as well as the recommendation from the District Collector is necessary. The petitioner relies on Ext.P9 report from the District Police Chief. There is no adverse remark against the petitioner. However, the District Collector has not forwarded his recommendation.
In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to forward his recommendation within two weeks to the first respondent. Thereafter, on receipt of such application within a W.P.(C) No.30556 of 2014 2 further period of two weeks, that application shall be considered by the first respondent. If the District Collector fails to send any adverse report within two weeks, the first respondent shall consider the application based on Ext.P9 within the period indicated above. The petitioner shall produce a copy of this judgment along with this writ petition before the District Collector for compliance.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
