Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State respondents and perused the record.
Present petition has been filed for commanding the respondent no. 2 for registering the Arms Licence of petitioner, i.e, Licence No. 19/MLA/2001 originally granted by the District Magistrate Mangla (Madhya Pradesh) and renewed from time to time by the District Magistrate, Kaushambi himself and further not to interfere in possession of the rifle under authority of the Arms Licence.
Learned counsel for the petitioner at this stage pointed out that his licence was renewed from time to time on earlier occasions.
Learned Standing Counsel pointed out that proper application for renewal of licence has not been given and what has been annexed is only a typed copy of the application that may have been filed by the petitioner. However, even on this application, there is no receiving.
In such view of the matter, the petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file proper application in accordance with law for renewal of licence and in case, any such application is filed, needless to say that the same shall be considered in accordance with law by Respondent no.2/ District Magistrate, Kaushambi, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of self- attested copy of this order, which may be verified from the official website of this Court.
With the aforesaid observation/ direction, present petition stands disposed of.
