JUDGMENT / ORDER

The main Criminal Original Petition has been filed with the following prayer: ...to call for the records in S.T.C.No.274 of 2009 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Vridhachalam and quash the proceedings therein.
2. Yesterday [13.03.2017] when the matter was called, there was no representation for the petitioner.
3. Today, the matter was listed under the caption 'For Dismissal'. Today also there is no representation for the petitioner when the matter was called. Ms.A.L.Gandhimathi, learned counsel is present on behalf of the respondent.
4. The Criminal Original Petition is dismissed for default.
5. If still pending, the Judicial Magistrate-I, Virdhachalam is directed to proceed with S.T.C.No.274 of 2009 on his file on day today basis and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible and in any event within six months. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
