The petitioner is a fair price shop dealer of Mohalla Katara Meera, Nagar Kshetra Shikohabad, District Firozabad.
The license of the petitioner has been suspended by District Supply Officer, Firozabad respondent no. 3 by order dated 30.8.2018 on the charges of irregularities committed by the petitioner in distribution of essential commodities.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has filed reply to the charges levelled against him on 22.9.2018. He submits that as per Section 8(8) of Uttar Pradesh Essential Commodities (Regulation of Sale and Distribution Control) Order, 2016, the Licensing Authority should conclude the enquiry within a period of two months.
In view of the submission made by the counsel for the petitioner, it is expected that the respondent no. 3 shall abide by the statutory period provided in Section 8(8) of Uttar Pradesh Essential Commodities (Regulation of Sale and Distribution Control) Order, 2016 for concluding the enquiry in Section 8(8) of the Order 2016.
