The sole prayer made in the instant petition is for a direction to the respondents to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 15.7.2021.
It seems that the petitioner who was having registration under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 had applied for renewal of the registration certificate by making online application. Since, the prayer for renewal remained un-disposed off, therefore, the instant writ petition has been filed.
Learned Standing Counsel submitted that the renewal application appears to have been filed beyond prescribed time. However, he does not dispute that no formal order has been passed on the renewal application so far.
Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the renewal application, we dispose of the instant petition with a direction to the second respondent to pass a speaking order on the representation of the petitioner dated 15.7.2021 within four weeks from the date of production of true attested copy of the instant order along with the photo-copy of the application dated 15.7.2021.
