JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the representation dated 16.03.2017 and to issue Patta to the petitioner herein pertaining to the properties of the petitioner.
2. The petitioner is the wife of the title holder to the land situated in Survey No.710/2 in Ramancherry Village, Thiruvallur Taluk and District. Originally, the land in the above-said survey number was under acquisition proceedings. This Court in W.P.Nos.4319 and 4872 of 1999, dated 20.06.2007, has set aside the land acquisition proceedings in respect of the property in question now. Thereafter, the District Collector in his proceedings No.J1/6719/2014, dated 07.07.2015, has dropped the land acquisition proceedings in respect of Survey Nos.705/1B and 707, Madura Pudhur Village, Ramancherry, Thiruvallur Taluk and District.
4. Pursuant to the same, the patta was issued in the name of husband of the petitioner. The petitioner's husband passed away on 07.01.2016. Therefore, the petitioner has applied for transfer of patta in her name as his legal representative. Now that the writ petitioner has made an application to the second respondent for grant of patta in her favour. The representation dated 16.03.2017 was given to the 2nd respondent and despite that, no action has been taken by the second respondent so far.
5. Considering limited prayer for disposing of the representation dated 16.03.2017 is concerned, this Court is of the considered view that the direction can be issued.
6. Accordingly, a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent, to consider the representation dated 16.03.2017 of the petitioner, for transfer of patta, after following all the procedures established by law for mutation of Revenue records, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
