Petitioner's husband was in the employment of the respondent on the post of Constable. He continued from 1987 onwards till his services were terminated on 31st March 2015. Petitioner's husband has later died. Petitioner, who is wife has approached this Court with the grievance that the amount of GPF which was due and payable, notwithstanding the order of termination passed against the petitioner's husband, has not been paid to her so far. Representations made in that regard have also remained pending and therefore, petitioner is before this Court.
Learned Standing Counsel states that such issues can be examined by respondent no.3 at the first instance.
In the facts and circumstances, noticed above, this petition stands disposed of with direction upon respondent no.3 to accord consideration to petitioner’s claim, noticed above, and pass an appropriate reasoned order, within a period of three months from the presentation of certified copy of this order. All consequential action would be taken accordingly.
