The petitioner submits that the 6th respondent is illegally carrying blasting and quarrying operation in the property comprised in Re-survey Nos.546/1 and 545/2 of Ummannoor Village in Kollam District. The petitioner made a representation before the District Collector by Ext.P6.
In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the District Collector to conduct an enquiry based on Ext.P6 after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the 6th respondent. If it is found that the 6th respondent is carrying illegal activity of blasting and quarrying, immediate action shall be taken to stop the activities. Needful shall be done within a period of four weeks.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
