This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief;
"(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Commissioner, Jhansi Division Jhansi (the respondent no. 4) to forthwith take up and decide the stay application dated 12.06.2019 filed in admitted Appeal No. 362 of 2019 (Rajendra Singh Chawla Vs. State of U.P.) on the next date fixed i.e. 21.08.2019.
(ii) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Commissioner Jhansi Division Jhansi to decide the Appeal No. 362 of 2019 (Rajendra Singh Chawla Vs. State of U.P.) as expeditiously as possible & within shortest possible time frame."
Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.
According to petitioner, 21.8.2019 was fixed in the matter before the Respondent No. 4, Commissioner, Jhansi Mandal, Jhansi which was adjourned to 4.9.2019.
Since the matter is already listed on 4.9.2019 before the Respondent No. 4, Commissioner, Jhansi Mandal, Jhansi, we do not see any justification to issue any direction in the matter. However, we hope and trust that the Respondent No. 4 shall decide the matter pending before it as early as possible.
With the above observation, this writ petition is finally disposed of.
