Heard Sri Rajnarayan Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Narendra Kumar Tiwari for the respondents.
Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to implead the DM, Ghazipur as respondent no.5. Learned counsel for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the petition on the learned Standing Counsel for the State during the course of the day.
This petition has been preferred for seeking writ of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2 to decide the application dated 13.1.2020 for removal of electricity wire over the house of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible.
Learned Counsel for respondents submits that no useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending, same be disposed of by giving appropriate directions to the authority concerned.
The writ petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent no.2 to decide the application dated 13.1.2020 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within 6 weeks from today by a reasoned and speaking order under intimation to petitioner.
